Greg Photo Chances are, Greg Paprocki’s work has already found it’s way into your home. The popular illustrator has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious ad agencies and publishing houses, and for such powerhouse international brands as McDonald’s, Pepsi, Yahoo, MTV, and Mattel.Greg’s art has also graced the covers of several of The New York Times Best-Sellers List titles and he has helped carry on the legacy of children’s book icon Curious George, illustrating several books in a new series for publisher Houghton Mifflin. And Greg recently created images for several of Mattel’s 50th anniversary Barbie projects.

Greg grew up in a small town in the middle of Nebraska’s farm land. From as far back as Greg remembers, he’s had a pencil in his hand. His parents worked in factories but encouraged him to persue his passion for art. Greg studied fine art and graphic design at the University of Nebraska and put himself through college.

A week before graduating, Greg moved to Kansas City to begin his career as a graphic designer. For seven years, Greg worked as a designer and an art director at several respected agencies. But in his spare time, Greg developed his art and taught himself how to work as a commercial artist.

The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 turned out to be life changing for Greg. Losing his job two weeks later, and in spite of a shocked business world not willing to hire, Greg decided to follow his dream of living in Manhattan, New York.

Equipped with three large bags and an air mattress, Greg began his freelance career and has never looked back.

Since then, Greg has moved back to Nebraska and found a wonderful wife, got a dog, and enjoys watching his two beautiful daughters draw with as much enthusiasm as he has.
